As part of our effort to provide a safe, secure, and robust network, the weekends below have been designated for server/appliance patching for 2022/2023. Patching will commence early Saturday morning (just after midnight), and should conclude by 8:00 a.m. on that same day. However, should there be unforeseen issues resulting from the patching, service outages could extend later into the day, perhaps covering the entirety of the weekend. FCS Network Operations staff will be on-call until noon on “Patch Saturdays” to address fallout from the patching. Instructional Technology Specialists should use the #1-weekend-outage channel in Teams to check for status updates, or to report any issues.

In addition to the weekends assigned for patching, Network Operations will also be using days designated as holidays for 240-day employees to perform any necessary repairs and maintenance. Outages may impact single systems or may interrupt services for the entire district.
